Moving

Well, we are now in Idaho after having a lot of fun in California (pictures coming soon)! Our last week at Fort Lewis earlier this month was spent moving out and getting ready for this trip. We had movers come on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to pick up 3 different loads of our stuff - one that is going to Korea on a boat, one that is going into storage (that would be most of our stuff), and one that is going to Korea on a plane. It was a busy week, but very different than any of our past moving experiences because the movers actually did all the work. But we made it easier for them by bringing all the stuff for each load out to one room the night before so that everything they needed to pack up was all in one place. Friday was the day we had to turn in our keys to Fort Lewis Housing. A lady came to do a walk through and take the keys. The last of our stuff was being packed by the movers at the same time that we had to turn in our keys. Anticipating that this might happen, we had moved the rest of our stuff out into the carport. Since we couldn't go into our house anymore after turning in the keys, the kids and I just waited in the car until the movers were finished and we could start the long drive to California. Mike stayed outside with the movers. It was weird to not be able to go into our house anymore. The movers finshed pretty quickly and then we were on our way! Here are some pictures of our drive to Grandpa and Grandma's house in California.

Reading books in the car while we waited for the movers to finish up.
Some Oregon scenery.
Notice the cereal, not only in his mouth, but all over his car seat too.
Our little navigator. Maybe she has inherited an interest in maps from her Daddy.
