Will Turns Five! - February 26, 2014

Five year old Will.

Will had a birthday! He turned five so we told him he could have party with friends, but the only person he wanted to invite was Isabelle. So we were going to invite the Larsens over for dinner, but we couldn't really find a time that worked for everyone, so we just invited Natalia and the girls to come over on the afternoon of his birthday. The kids played, Will opened presents, we had cake and ice cream, and then the kids played some more. Mike is done with class on Wednesdays at 12:30, so he was able to come home early for the party. I took these pictures of Will in the morning, before our friends came over. He was a happy kid! He had such a hard time waiting to open his presents, though. He was asking me all morning if he could open them yet! :)

He wanted a Star Wars cake, so this is what we came up with. Avary and Sam really wanted to help decorate it, so they each got to make a light saber.

Will, you are such a special kid. You are so full of fun and joy! You love to talk to people, and you bring smiles to our faces all the time with the cute and funny things you say. You are a great brother, and I can tell that you really try to do the right thing and be nice to your siblings, even though it can be hard sometimes to share your toys. You love to sing, and you've got some pretty sweet dance moves. You are a light in our lives and we are so thankful that you are in our family! We love you!

I think all the partying might have worn out Cusey, but she found place to rest in Jakob's crib. I think she felt safe in there, with the bars between her and all the kids. :)
