Cologne Cathedral - July 2, 2011

We went to the Cologne Cathedral one Saturday. It was an amazing place. Grammy and Grandpa came and we all climed up to the tower to where the bells are. Grammy and Grandpa waited for us there, while we went the rest of the way up the tower. When  we came back down to the bells to get Grammy and Grandpa, the bells started ringing. It was so loud! The kids immediately covered their ears and Mike started down the long staircase with them. I stayed for a minute to record it. The cathedral's construction began in 1248 and was finished in 1880.

After seeing the cathedral, we went back to the car and gave the kids some lunch and headed back home.
