Sam Walking

I think Korean food is going to be good for this kid. Last Thursday we went to a Korean restaurant with Mike's commander and his family. They spent some time in Korea and wanted to take us out to introduce us to the food. It was a crazy hour, trying to keep Sam occupied. When the waitress brought our food, the table was almost entirely covered in dishes. There were different kinds of Kimchi, and bean sprouts, and I'm not sure what else. As soon as the food was on the table, Sam grabbed a handful of something, and I realized that keeping his hands out of all those dishes was going to be quite the task. It turned out to be a fun night, even though it was a bit chaotic. A couple of minor crises were averted, like when Sam almost grabbed the tongs that the waitress had used on the raw beef. And when he almost grabbed a handful of spicy Kimchi, which probably would have gone right to his mouth. And he almost dumped a bowl of rice all over Mike's lap. Anyway, by the time we got home it was late for the kids, but Sam was in SUCH a good mood! So good in fact, that he started walking! He has been so close to walking for months, and we were wondering when he was ever going to decide that he wanted to walk. Well, he did, and he liked it. :) He and Avary were having such a fun time that night. Avary thought it was so funny to see him walking all by himself. She was totally cracking up! I didn't get any good video of him walking that night, but two nights ago I was able to get this video. So far, he mostly just walks at night before he goes to bed.
